Where we do life together…
Home Church
Our main gatherings are in small home churches or with families.
We believe the best way we can love God, each other and our neighbourhoods is through small intentional churches, where everyone is devoted to Jesus, the Word, each other and mission.
These are Churches where everyone can use their gifts and live a life of discipleship, so that we all grow into Christ. We believe that church is a family, made up of all people and generations, so we encourage the youngest to the oldest to be a part of this.
We do also meet together as one larger gathering, but this is secondary to our home churches.
Our Core Values
#1 Simply love – Devoted to Jesus
We want to be passionate worshippers of God. This is the greatest command Jesus left us: to love him with all we are. This is central to our walk as Christians.
#2 Simply Family – Devoted to family
We want a church family who truly love each other as Jesus has loved us. This was the second greatest command and is what Jesus said would define us as followers of Him. We want a church where people share, so there are no needs, where everyone cares for each other, where we love like no-one else.
#3 Simply Discipleship – Devoted to Disciples who are Disciple makers
We want a church where everyone takes part, from the youngest to the oldest: everybody can be a disciple and everyone can make disciples. This is a church where we can all do life together, in love, vulnerability and simplicity.
#4 Simply gospel – Devoted to Transformation as Spirit filled missionaries
We want a church that is compelled to love the people around us. A church that is willing to reflect Jesus’ love every day to the people we come into contact with. We believe that what we live out is more than natural, but is supernatural, and we should expect miracles as we step out in faith..
#5 Simply suffering – Devoted to eternity through suffering and sacrifice
We want a church that has an eternal perspective that drives our lives, not a temporal one. We want to give sacrificially and love outrageously. We want to recognise that we are aliens in this world, that we are only a blink in time: we are just passing through. We should be willing to suffer, persevere and stand out from the crowd. Sacrifice for the gospel is a given if we want to live for eternity.
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
